The vitamin C in this product is in the form of sodium ascorbate. This form of vitamin C has a saltier, less sour taste than ascorbic acid, making it more palatable.
It is also naturally buffered which reduces gastric distress commonly associated with high doses of straight ascorbic acid. Sodium ascorbate is a potent water-soluble antioxidant while the bioflavonoids are antioxidants that help with absorption.
