Renal Support
Going Beyond the Renal Diet: Prescription renal diets are an important tool in the management of CKD (chronic kidney disease), helping to control nutritional factors affecting kidney disease progression, such as protein, phosphorous and potassium. However prescription diets can’t do it all, and are difficult to tailor for the individual needs of each pet, particularly as CKD progresses. Achieving “patient-centric” renal management requires additional support that is specific to the evolving needs of each pet.
Phos-Bind™ is designed for tailored support of phosphate levels. It is a tasteless, odourless powder added to food that works by binding with dietary phosphorus in the bowel, helping support the normal function and health of the kidneys.
Thera-K™ is designed for tailored support of potassium levels. It is a highly palatable liquid source of potassium that is added to food, helping support the normal function and health of the kidneys.
Please note: If you have a senior pet, we encourage regular veterinary checkups and annual bloodwork to help detect early onset of CKD. If your pet is facing CKD, we strongly recommend partnering with your veterinarian for ongoing monitoring of serum phosphorous and potassium levels for a proactive and patient-centric approach to your pet’s health.
